  • 800g canned San Marzano tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Large handful fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)

Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a wide pan over medium heat.

    Add garlic and chili flakes. Cook 2 minutes until fragrant but not brown.

    Add tomatoes. Crush with a wooden spoon.
