Ingredients

  • For meatballs: 300g ground beef, 200g ground pork, 1 onion finely grated, 1 egg, 50g breadcrumbs, 50ml milk, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, salt and pepper
  • For gravy: 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp flour, 400ml beef stock, 100ml heavy cream, 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Lingonberry jam and mashed potatoes to serve

Instructions

    Mix all meatball ingredients until combined. Roll into 2cm balls.

    Fry in butter over medium heat, turning, until browned all over and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove.

    Make gravy: melt butter in the same pan. Whisk in flour, cook 1 minute. Add stock gradually, whisking. Add cream and soy sauce. Simmer until thick.

    Return meatballs to the gravy. Simmer 5 minutes.

    Serve with mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam.
